CAB 315 Ecowatt N IP44 quiet, energy-efficient duct fan

Casing

is made of electro-galvanised steel sheet and fitted with four mounting feet for installation; the interior is lined with a 50 mm layer of sound-insulating material. Fire reaction class A2-s1, d0 (M0), meaning the enclosure is practically non-combustible, produces very little smoke and no burning droplets drip from the fan casing. The IP55-rated casing is fitted with circular spigots with Class C single-lip seals for connecting flexible hoses or circular ducting. The fan casing cover is secured by four quick-release fasteners.

Impeller

is a radial type with backward-curved blades and is press-fitted directly onto the motor’s external rotor. Designed for airflows from 100 m³/h to 2,400 m³/h and a static pressure of up to 500 Pa.

Motor

A high-efficiency EC motor housed inside the casing with thermal overload protection. Operating temperature range: -20 °C to +40 °C. The electronically commutated motor is suitable for continuous speed control.

Terminal block

is located inside the housing and is accessible after removing the panel with the potentiometer and the on/off safety switch.

Speed control

• manual, integrated potentiometer – standard version
• manual, external potentiometer – continuous speed control via an external potentiometer
• manual, external potentiometer with minimum and maximum speed settings – continuous speed control with the option to limit the speed range using the controller
• manual, four-position switch – selection of one of 4 preset speeds via a switch
• COP (constant pressure control) – automatic maintenance of a constant static pressure in the duct network via a controller
• CAV (constant air volume control) – automatically maintains the set air flow rate regardless of pressure losses in the system (requires a controller fitted with a control module)
• VAV (control via external control signal) – fan output is controlled based on an external analogue signal or values from connected sensors

Installation

is possible in any motor axis position. The fan can be installed in both indoor and outdoor environments in a configuration with ducting on one side and a rain-proof duct fitting on the other. The fan must not transmit mechanical stress to the ductwork. A flexible connection to the ductwork must be used

Instructions

The fans are designed for the ventilation of homes, sanitary facilities, offices and commercial premises. When installing in a suspended ceiling, it is advisable to use flexible hoses, fittings, disc valves and other components. The fans can be used in conjunction with a hygrostat or a hygrostat combined with a thermostat for ventilating damp areas.
