The buyer - the consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receipt of the goods, in accordance with § 1829 of the Civil Code, if the contract was concluded by distance or off-premises. Such a buyer shall only be liable for any diminution in the value of the goods as a result of handling the goods in a manner other than that necessary to familiarise himself with their nature, characteristics and functionality.
