New version of the catalogue Mass ventilation of garages!
In the catalogue we present suitable fan types and possible ventilation methods for specific garage buildings.
The design method using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation software is commented on.

Choosing a control system - Digireg

The measurement and control system is an essential element of an air handling system. With this system it is possible to control and manage the individual functions of the HVAC equipment, where one of the basic tasks is to achieve the desired parameters of the indoor environment. ELEKTRODESIGN's Digireg® advanced digital control system offers users superior features while being very easy to install, easy to service and affordable.

Choosing a control system
A MaR system is defined as a complete package containing a control cabinet, controller, temperature sensors, differential pressure sensors, CO2 sensors, humidity sensors, frost protection and a heating water control node.

Digireg® can be supplied separately, which is convenient when installing the switchgear outside the regulated equipment (on the wall, etc.). Allows control of compressor cooling, timing, mixing and circulation. Includes a clear touch panel.

REE6+ Voltage Regulator (Digireg®)
- This is a triac controller for single phase electric motors

Frequency converter
- these are speed controllers of three-phase electric motors depending on the change of output frequency

According to the control requirement of the respective units, the control system can be divided into:

  • without regulation
  • multi-speed electric motor control - the controller directly switches individual electric motor speeds
  • smooth fan speed control
    • VAV (variable air volume) - a built-in controller or frequency converter regulates fan speed. A signal from humidity or CO2 sensors can be used (sensors not included)
    • CAV (constant air volume) - built-in controller or frequency converter varies speed based on readings from integrated sensors to maintain a constant flow in the duct
    • COP (constant over pressure) - built-in controller or frequency converter adjusts speed based on readings from integrated pressure sensors to maintain a constant pressure

Multi-speed fan motor control - designation D (Digireg®)

  • control system regulates the fan by switching the individual taps of the electric motor, no voltage regulator or frequency converter is needed for this control
  • Digireg® has up to 4° speed selection

Smooth fan speed control - DVAV (Digireg®)

  • control system continuously regulates fan speed with a voltage regulator or frequency converter based on demand from built-in CO2 sensors
  • Digireg® continuously regulates speed 0-100%
  • CAV and COP control is handled by the optional accessories SET CAV and SET COP
