ALTAIR 120 V ventilation unit with heat recovery

Cabinet

is made of durable high density EPP. The front metal panel is powder coated white. The Ø 93 mm connection circular sockets are fitted on the top and bottom of the cabinet with the possibility of turning them to the sides of the unit. The throats are fitted with a double-edged seal. Revision access is from the front of the unit.

Fans

The unit contains two radial fans with forward curved blades with EC motor.

Motors

They are single-phase EC with low power consumption, 230 V / 50 Hz. IP21 protection.

Recuperation

Counter-current heat exchanger with up to 88% efficiency. The heat exchanger is accessible by opening the front panel.

Filters

The unit is fitted with two G4 class (ISO coarse 65%) plate filters for both the intake and exhaust.

Electrical connection

A three-core 230 V / 50 Hz power cable is led out of the unit, which is not terminated with a fork (connection to the box).

Regulation

The unit is equipped with a fully automatic control system with flow regulation according to relative humidity. The innovative control system with temperature sensors and humidity sensor ensures fully automatic operation of continuous ventilation without the need for any further intervention in the control of the unit. A wired controller is included to allow switching from automatic operation to three power speeds. The system indicates filter contamination by an audible signal or LED indication on the connected controller. The frost protection system ensures operation of the unit down to an outdoor temperature of -10 °C without the need for additional preheating or reheating of the air. The unit can be set to operate in automatic or manual mode. The unit is equipped with a contact to activate the BOOST function.

Mounting

The unit is designed for vertical wall mounting indoors. The required ambient temperature is between 10 and 50 °C. The unit must be mounted so as to provide sufficient space for removing the unit face, changing filters, connecting the condensate drain to the waste with a siphon odour stop and for carrying out periodic wiring inspections. If the unit is mounted behind a bulkhead, an inspection opening for the operator is required.

Instructions

Thanks to the high efficiency of the heat exchanger and the innovative control system, preheating and reheating are not necessary. After basic setup by the installer, the unit requires no further adjustment. Filter replacement is recommended at least once a year. The design of the AR Flex system and its use in buildings with category B gas appliances (gas boilers and open chamber water heaters) or open hearth appliances using solid or liquid fuels with flue gas exhaust to the chimney are subject to the applicable regulations. Ventilation must comply with the normative regulations on fire safety in buildings and must not contravene fire regulations.

Information

A complete ventilation system with a small unit designed for ventilation of apartments, apartment buildings and houses. The unit is designed for permanent operation.
