Main features of the system:
- central air handling unit for part of the classrooms
- high-pressure ventilation of classrooms
- classroom heat recovery
- suitable for major renovations
Basic elements of the system:
- central air handling unit with ZZT
- variable flow controllers
In a semi-central equal pressure classroom ventilation system, fresh air is supplied to the central air handling unit where the heat energy from the exhaust air removed from the classrooms is transferred to the supply air through heat recovery. The treated air is then distributed to the individual classrooms. Each classroom is equipped with a variable flow controller which controls the amount of supply and extract air according to the current ventilation demand. The system ensures a consistently stable indoor environmental quality and high user comfort in the classrooms and, thanks to partial heat recovery, contributes to a reduction in the operating costs of the building.
