The body of the fire damper is made of painted steel sheet. The actual closing part consists of a double leaf flap and a fusible lock. If the ambient temperature of the fuse exceeds 72 °C, the damper closes.
Use
The flap is intended for use as a fire stop in ventilation systems. The resistance of the device has been tested according to EN 13501 and EN 1366-2. The fire resistance classification of the shutter installed in a masonry wall construction is EI120S. Classifications for other constructions can be found in the table or in the Declaration of Performance document. The SC+ damper can be used for both inlet and outlet pipes (except SC0).
Variants
- stand-alone fire damper (type SC+)
- fire damper classified according to EN 13 501 for integrity (E) only. The type designation is SC0. This variant is designed for exhaust.
The FT SC fire damper is replaceable and can be ordered as an accessory. The FCU SC position limit switch can also be supplied as an accessory.
Mounting
- the damper is designed for both extract and supply air, type SC0 only for extract air
- it can be installed in any position of the valve axis
- the product must be installed in accordance with the certified project documentation in terms of its classification - see Declaration of Performance
- the damper must be further installed according to the enclosed installation instructions
- we recommend that it is installed in such a way that maintenance and regular serviceability checks are possible

Fire dampers are fire safety devices, therefore it is essential to follow the rules prescribed by the standard (training of installers, carrying out regular operational checks, etc.) Please ask for information.
