Description
The CU2 square fire dampers are used as a closure for air ducts in case of fire. By activating the damper, the spread of combustion products to the adjacent fire compartment is prevented for a specified period of time. The casing of the damper is made of corrosion-protected steel sheet. Certification according to EN 15650. Classification according to EN 13 501-3+A1. Fire resistance of the damper is EI90 or EI120 according to the installation method. Tested according to EN 1366-2 at 500 Pa.
Use
Fire dampers can only be used for air free of mechanical and chemical impurities and in environments without explosion hazards.
Variants
The fire damper is available in the following versions. With fusible link (type CFTH), which activates the closing mechanism at temperatures above 72 °C, or with actuator (type ONE/BFL(T)/BFN). The actuator can be fitted with a 24 V or 230 V actuator. The damper is fitted with a UL inspection opening. On request, dampers with an extended length of 500 mm or ATEX certified can be supplied.
Mounting
The CU2 fire damper is supplied according to the combinations shown in the table (other size ranges available on request). In case of request, it is possible to create so-called batteries (CU2/B) in the fire division structure in dimensions up to 3000 x 1650 mm (width x height) - please contact our technical department. The damper is designed with emphasis on minimum pressure loss. and is suitable for installation in all common building structures such as rigid wall constructions, rigid floors or lightweight partitions. The flap can be installed with the mounting axis in any position.
