Cabinet

Spiral radial fan housing is made of antistatic polypropylene, max. air temperature 50 °C (ATEX temperature 40 °C). The fan is supplied as standard with a housing orientation of LG 0 and the discharge throat axis angle can be changed during installation. The fan outlet is circular, the dimensions are shown in the dimensional sketch.

Running wheel

is radial with forward curved blades, made of polypropylene.

Motor

asynchronous with short armature, insulation class F, grease-filled ball bearings for life. Motors are 3-phase for 230/400 V or 3-phase for 400 V. Motor out of air current. Protection IP55. The motor stool is included with the fan and is made of nylon (20A), polypropylene (30, 35) and galvanized steel sheet (42).

Mounting

is carried out on the mounting base included with the fan. The fan is started when connected to the pipework for which it is intended, with the intake or discharge closed if necessary, so as not to overload the fan. After start-up, the correct direction of rotation of the impeller must be checked and the current must be measured and must not exceed the rated current of the fan. If the current values are higher, the ductwork alignment must be checked. An overcurrent relay or other suitable motor protection must be included in the fan supply. If the motor overloads, the thermal protection will open the contactor control circuit and disconnect the fan motor. If this motor thermal protection is operating, it usually indicates an abnormal operating mode. In this case, it is necessary to check the piping network alignment and check the electrical parameters of the motor and wiring. If the fans are operated without this protection, the claim for a damaged motor is void. The enclosure must not transmit mechanical stresses from the pipework. A flexible connection to the ductwork must be used.

Instructions

Fans are suitable by their design for long ductwork in various process and air handling applications, in the chemical industry, petrochemical industry and laboratories. They are not suitable for the extraction of wood dust and grit, or other flammable or explosive mixtures.

Warning

Caution, the fans are in a special design for CR. Replacement parts supplied by the manufacturer or trade organisations as standard cannot be used. Please request information on delivery times. The values I_n, I_a/I_n and t_e given in the fan certificates are decisive for the fitting of the safety devices and thus the safe operation of the fans. These values must be checked carefully after delivery of the fan.
