To connect the fan to the mains, their motors must be equipped with the following protections.
- Single-phase motors without thermal contact should always be connected via motor circuit breakers or current protectors with the appropriate tripping characteristic and current rating.
- Single-phase motors with thermal contact should always be connected through current protectors and motor starters that will disconnect the fan when the motor becomes too warm.
- Three-phase motors without thermal contact should always be connected via motor circuit breakers or current protectors with the appropriate tripping characteristic and current rating. The protection must always be equipped with undervoltage protection or phase failure protection.
- Three-phase motors with thermal contact must always be connected via current protection and motor starters that will disconnect the fan when the motor becomes too hot.
If motors are not equipped with protection, the warranty is void.
