Description
The CR2 circular fire dampers are used as a closure for air ducts in case of fire. By activating the damper, the spread of combustion products to the adjacent fire compartment is prevented for a specified period of time. The damper casing is made of corrosion-protected steel sheet. The fire resistance class of the damper is EI60, EI90 or EI120 according to the attached table. Tested according to EN 1366-2 at 500 Pa.
Use
Fire dampers can only be used for air free of mechanical and chemical impurities and in environments without explosion hazards.
Variants
The flap is available in three versions. With a fusible fuse (type CFTH), which activates the closing mechanism at a temperature above 72 °C, with a servo drive (type BLF) or with a servo drive with thermoelectric fuse (type B(L)F(T)). The servo drive can be fitted to 24 V or 230 V. The damper is fitted with a UL inspection opening.
Mounting
The fire dampers are designed for pipe diameters from 200 mm to 630 mm. The damper is designed with an emphasis on minimum pressure loss and is suitable for installation in all common building structures such as walls, floors or lightweight partitions. The damper can be installed with the mounting axis in any position.
Highlights
Fire dampers are fire safety devices, therefore it is essential to comply with the rules prescribed by the standard (training of installers, carrying out regular operational checks, etc.). Ask for information!
