A central exhaust system ensures the removal of polluted air from multiple accommodation units connected to a common riser duct by a roof fan. Make-up air is supplied through façade inlet vents in each accommodation unit. The system does not incorporate heat recovery.

Main features:

  • roof fan for individual riser duct
  • exhaust ventilation
  • no heat recovery
  • suitable for renovation projects

Basic system components:

  • roof fans
  • electrically controlled extract air valves
  • façade inlet vents in each accommodation unit

In this central exhaust system, contaminated air is extracted from the sanitary facilities of the accommodation units through a shared duct system connected to roof fans. Each riser duct is equipped with a separate roof fan. Electrically controlled extract air valves are installed in each accommodation unit to regulate exhaust airflow based on current ventilation demand. Make-up air is supplied through façade inlet vents. The system provides a simple and efficient solution; however, it does not incorporate heat recovery.
