Main features:
- central AHU for the entire building
- balanced ventilation
- heat recovery
- suitable for new buildings
Basic system components:
- central AHU with heat recovery
- VAV dampers in individual apartments
In this balanced ventilation system with heat recovery, fresh air is supplied to a central air handling unit, where heat is transferred from the exhaust air removed from the building. The treated air is then distributed throughout the building. Each apartment is equipped with a VAV damper that regulates the amount of supply and extract air. Fresh air is supplied to living rooms amd bedrooms, while extract air is removed from sanitary facilities and kitchens. The system ensures consistently stable indoor environmental quality and a high level of user comfort. Thanks to heat recovery, it also helps reduce the building’s operating costs.
