- the outer shell is made of galvanized sheet metal
- the inner shell is made of perforated sheet metal
- the space between the shells is filled with mineral wool, non-woven fabric on the inside
- allows for considerable noise attenuation
- can be installed very easily
- multiple silencers can be connected together to achieve good noise attenuation
- good results are achieved in conjunction with MIXVENT fans-TD
- the pressure drop of the silencer is assumed to be 2 times the pressure drop of a smooth duct
- larger and atypical diameters should be discussed with the manufacturer
