Cabinet
The ventilation head consists of an aluminium impeller which is mounted on a zinc base. The different types of heads differ in the design of the base, see the dimension diagram. Heads with square base are hinged (except TU 300 standard). Maximum air temperature 150 °C.
Running wheel
is radial with backward curved blades. It is made of AL sheet metal. Ball bearings with high temperature resistant grease filling.
Mounting
The vent head is mounted with a mounting base on top of the vent shaft or vent riser.
Instructions
The flow provided by the ventilation head is fundamentally dependent on weather conditions, i.e. thermal buoyancy and wind strength. For this reason, heads must not be used for ventilation of living spaces where controlled flow is required. The headers can only be used as a termination element on the main air collection duct. At the discretion of the designer, headers may be used for ventilation of double skin roofs, but the manufacturer's declared relatively lower rain resistance must be taken into account.
Caution
In accordance with the wording of EN 15665, National Annex Z1 with requirements for ventilation of residential buildings, rotary ventilation heads may not be designed or installed in renovated residential buildings or in new buildings to provide ventilation. The heads are not suitable for flue gas extraction.
