Product description
Cabinet

The cabinet is made of EPP, for wall mounting, a handling space is required in front of the unit for cleaning and filter change. A galvanized steel wall mounting frame is supplied with the unit. The spigots have an internal dimension of 150 mm and an external dimension of 180 mm. The nozzles are located on the top and bottom of the unit. Next to the outside air outlet there is a frost flap opening. The condensate is discharged through a 40 mm diameter outlet located at the bottom of the cabinet. The front wall is blue as standard, grey on special order.

Fans

On the discharge and intake sides, the ventilation unit is equipped with radial fans with EC motors and backward curved blades.

Motor

The motors are DC with high efficiency and low consumption. The transformer is included in the unit, so the supply voltage is normal 230 V, 50 Hz mains. IP31 protection.

Recuperation

The counter-current plate heat exchanger is made of polypropylene with efficiencies ranging from 86 to 95%. The exchanger is accessible by opening the front cover of the unit. For summer operation, the unit is equipped with an automatic exchanger bypass.

Filter

Easily replaceable Class G3 plate filters are provided on the intake and discharge (recommended for use immediately after construction). Access to the heat exchanger is by opening the front cover of the unit.
Replacement filters:
- AFR-EHR 280/325 Akor Filter G3, set of 2
- AFR-EHR 280/325 Akor Filter G4, set of 2 (ISO coarse 65%)
- AFR-EHR 280/325 Akor Filter F7, set of 2 (ISO ePM2.5 70%)

El. connection

For the RF version, a three-core connection cable is led out of the unit and terminated with a plug into a socket. The standard version has a five-core cable leading out.

Speed control

The table and chart show the factory speed settings, but these can be adjusted as needed after installation. The unit is equipped with two potentiometers that can be used to adjust the high and low speed values. The mean speed is then the average of the high and low speed values. For the highest speed, the time can be set from 10, 20 or 30 min if a wireless speed switch type RFT Akor is used, which is an optional accessory. The switch operates at 868 MHz with a maximum range of 100 m in open space. If the connection cable is changed to a 5-core cable (supplied), control can be provided by an SA 1-3V (or similar) switch. In this connection, an AIRSENS air quality sensor, room thermostat or programmable timer DT 3R, DT 4 or DT 8-R can be used to independently trigger the highest speed by applying a phase voltage from the same supply phase to the control terminal (this solution is custom and not included). Full operation of the microprocessor control occurs 24 hours after power-up and parameter stabilization.

Temperature control

The unit is equipped with automatic heat exchanger bypass. In summer, the air in the unit is bypassed outside the heat exchanger, saving energy.

Frost protection

The unit is equipped with automatic frost protection, which, in the event of danger of icing of the heat exchanger, first limits the speed of the supply fan, and if the danger persists, opens the frost flap, through which some of the air is supplied from around the unit. For the anti-ice damper to work properly, the unit must be installed in rooms with a temperature of at least 5ºC.

Mounting

Mount only in the upright position with clear space in front of the unit to open the lid and remove the filters or heat exchanger for cleaning. The condensate drain connection is made via a siphon odour stop.

Options

- EHR 280/325 H Akor RF
- EHR 280/325 D Akor RF

Left or Right versions of all variants are obtained by swapping the front and rear panels.

Accessories

- ED Flex System® circular manifolds
- ED Plano System® square manifolds
- replacement filters G4, M5, F7

Instructions

Due to the high efficiency of the heat exchanger, reheating is usually not necessary. In areas where temperatures are often below -5 °C, it is recommended to install a hot-water heat exchanger or an electric air preheater of adequate capacity (e.g. MBE-AFP 160/0.7) for fresh air intake. After basic set-up by the installer, the unit requires no further adjustment. Demands on the user are minimal. Filter replacement is recommended at least once a year. It is also possible to install an air/liquid ground register ED Geoflex/ED KZ-R.

Information
