Product description
Cabinet

The cabinet is made of durable high density extruded polystyrene foam. The top part consists of a painted steel plate powder coated in white. The four upper and two lower round necks are made of hardened plastic and are fitted with sealing rubber to allow the installation of Ø 150 and Ø 160 pipes. Next to the waste air outlet is the opening of the anti-frost flap Ø 80.

Fans

The unit includes a double radial fan with backward curved blades with EC motor.

Motor

The motor is a low power, 230 V/50 Hz, single phase EC motor. Protection IP31.

Recuperation

The counter-current plate heat exchanger is plastic, efficiency up to 96%. The heat exchanger is accessible by removing the removable cover. The exchanger is equipped with a bypass for summer ventilation.

Filter

For the first start-up, the unit is fitted with two G3 (ISO coarse 45%) class plate filters. G4 and F7 filter classes can also be ordered.

El. connection

The unit is equipped with either a power cable with fork (RF variant) or a five-core cable allowing connection of the individual speed switches (Standard variant). Both variants allow the connection of RFT type wireless controllers.

Regulation

The unit is equipped with a control system that indicates filter contamination, controls the automatic by-pass and allows the BOOST function to be activated. The unit is regulated to a constant air flow.

Frost protection

The unit is equipped with automatic frost protection, which in case of frost danger ( outdoor temperature less than 1°C) of the heat exchanger first switches on the frost flap to a maximum value of 30% mixing. If the temperature is still below 1°C the unit will limit the fan speed to the minimum. If the temperature still does not rise, the unit will stop for 24 hours. If the unit is installed in locations with prolonged temperatures below -7°C, it is recommended to install an MBE-AFP electric air preheater.

Noise

Acoustic performance is given in the table of technical parameters.

Options

Mounting

It is universal and reversible. The unit can be installed vertically or horizontally. The great advantage is the possibility of mounting it on its side, horizontally. The unit can also be mounted on a wall, floor or ceiling. The unit is designed for indoor applications where the required ambient temperature is between 15° and 40°C The unit must be mounted to ensure sufficient space around the unit for regular servicing. The unit must be connected to the house drainage system for condensate drainage. The drain is to be connected via a siphon with an odour trap.

Accessories

- ED Flex System® circular air ducts
- MBE-AFP active frost protection

Instructions

The design of EHR heat recovery units and their use in buildings with category B gas appliances (open chamber gas boilers and water heaters) or open fire appliances burning solid or liquid fuels with flue gas extraction to the chimney is in accordance with current legislation. Ventilation must comply with the normative regulations on fire safety in buildings and must not contravene fire regulations.

Information

Ventilation unit for family houses allowing universal installation.
